The debates, leading to open and productive discussions, focusing on the priority to Women and Girls’ education, access to employment and societal responsibilities, rural Women Empowerment and the promotion of Women’s Entrepreneurship.

 

Releasing finances for the smallholding farmers is an issue that touches the AAVF enormously.

 

AAVF defended and contributed to these discussions.

 

“Promoting Rural Women in Africa: implementing fair and sustainable agriculture” was hosted in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). A space was provided for the AAVF to introduce agriculture & technology.

A MODEL FOR YOUTH BUT ALSO THE WHOLE WORLD

 

The Crans Montana - African Women's Forum's aim is to highlight African Women’s experiences, which can be described as life-enhancing and contribute to the global development and integration process.

 

This approach requires the implementation of a comprehensive educational system for girls and effective support for women in order to promote their access to employment. It is also essential to encourage female entrepreneurship within the framework of good governance that enables the development of women's transversal role in society.

 

The AAVF participated within the panel session by  introducing Vertical Farming as a sustainable method to secure food in areas where there is a lack of space, enough water and with environmental hassards preventing agriculture to be fully practiced.
